Jason Sange was furious. He didn’t care if it was Dracula, no one hits on Jason’s woman right in front of him! What’s worse is that his girlfriend, Layathel, seemed to be hitting right back! Such would be one of many travails that Jason Sange would be soon to endure.
But it wasn’t always like this.
In fact, Jason’s life was just about to be solidified as perfect: The bar exam was coming up, and he had no doubt he’d ace it; he’d just met a lovely girl who sent visions of wedding gowns and expensive rings swimming through his head, and he knew what he was going to do with his life after law school was behind him. Confident, intelligent and with a fervor for life, Jason was careful of nothing.
Naturally, that couldn’t last forever.
His father, being reticent on details, brought him to learn about the family business at an old, gothic mansion in the middle of nowhere. Soon Jason learns that his father’s secrecy was due to concerns that if Jason knew what his father had planned, he might not have taken the trip in the first place: Jason’s family, the Sanges, were on retainer. . . for Dracula!
Understandably shocked, Jason needs to come to terms with the existence of the supernatural world, of magic and powers beyond the doldrums of daily life or scientific fact or any experience he’d ever endured, not to mention the simple and baffling knowledge that Vladimir Dracula indeed exists—and that Jason is being prepared to serve as one of the Dark Lord’s lawyers.
Then again, why should Jason be so surprised? After all, even the Count needs representation.

Plain old Alexis decides to make something of herself, which is good, but she decides to be a drummer, in one month, without having ever touched a drum-set before in her life, which is bad. She will discover that too much ambition can be as bad as not enough. Meanwhile, her friend Isaac struggles to keep her flaring and eager aspirations in check.
Despite all these zany shenanigans, friendships will prevail and lessons will be learned, even if they’re hard lessons at the time.
